Story of the plight of Nepali journalists who went through a major test of their
commitment to the free media during the state of emergency in Nepal in 2001.
Many of these journalists in Kathmandu and in outside districts were arrested,
tortured and even threatened to death when they fought against the state control
on the media. Some of these journalists had even thought of killing themselves
as they could not go through the torture meted out by the state. The video
basically deals with the experiences of the journalists who have gone through
the tumultuous time during the state of emergency.
