Dolkar, a young Buddhist woman from Ladakh in the Himalayas, wants to play
ice hockey. She and her friends try to make ice to skate on, get equipment and
coaching. But the biggest problem is that the men in charge don’t think women
ice hockey is important. Dolkar contacts the Muslim girls for support.

"As a former ice hockey player I immediately fell in love with Dolkar and her
friends, when I saw the pictures of them playing ice hockey. It reminded me of
my own childhood when we played ice hockey on the lake near our home in
Sweden. We also made our own wooden goal cages and played hour after
hour.The landscape in Ladakh is fantastic. But the thing which struck me even
more was the people living there. Everyone was singing while working and
complaints did not exist..."
